Meet Ryan Saunders – Artist & Curator
Ryan Saunders is an artist/curator exploring the pedagogical potential of outdoor spaces. Since researching into the facilitation of urgent discussion and critical discourse through these ’third’ spaces during his MA in Creative Production and Curatorial Practice, he uses walking as a primary medium for his research. Over the past couple of months Ryan has been exploring post-industrial sites local to Wrexham, recording his findings through; photography, audio/video, drawing, text and sculpture. Returning to the studio he produces works that assume vessel-like forms, containing and representing the questions and thoughts brought about by the dissection of site-specific practice.
IKT delegates will meet Ryan when visiting PERICLO artist studios in Wrexham during IKT Congress 2023.
