Meet Georgia Nielson
Georgia Nielson - Artist
Georgia Nielson is a Wrexham-based artist. Her recent work has been focusing on her own lived experience and position within the artworld, with particular reference to her working-class upbringing. Georgia’s work can often be satirical, addressing topics such as social anxieties and the dynamics of sexual interaction. Georgia first became involved with Periclo via Glyndwr University’s GO Wales scheme.
IKT delegates will meet Georgia when visiting PERICLO artist studios in Wrexham during IKT Congress 2023.

PERICLO IS A PLATFORM FOR RISK AND EXPERIMENTATION IN CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ARTS.
Periclo presents a programme of exhibitions, talks, screenings and performances. The space also provides research facilities through its reading room, with a particular focus on the relationship between artist and curator.
The exhibition programme and associated events provide artists an opportunity to test new ideas, to take risks and to experiment with content, themes and with display methods.
