IKT Congress 2026: Turin & Milan, Italy
Tentative dates: April 2026
We are excited to share a first look at our plans for the IKT Congress 2026! Our proposed host city is Turin, Italy, with a special satellite program in Milan—two cities that represent the very best of Italy’s contemporary art landscape.
Turin is a vibrant cultural hub where history, innovation, and the arts converge. With renowned institutions such as Castello di Rivoli and Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, the city blends its rich artistic heritage with a dynamic and progressive scene. Known for its biennials, festivals, and independent art spaces, Turin offers an inspiring environment for curators, artists, and cultural professionals to come together, exchange ideas, and build meaningful collaborations.
With Milan just a short journey away, the Congress will also include encounters with the city’s world-class institutions, galleries, and artists, further enriching the experience.
In case of unforeseen changes to our Italy plans, we’re also preparing an exciting alternative: Vienna, Austria.
A longstanding hub for international contemporary art, Vienna boasts an impressive array of institutions including the Albertina, Leopold Museum, mumok, Kunsthalle Wien, and Secession. The city’s thriving gallery scene, especially in the central 1st District, and its history of avant-garde movements make it a compelling alternative host.
Vienna’s central European location also opens up exciting possibilities for a post-congress program, with nearby cities like Bratislava, Salzburg, and Linz offering rich artistic contexts and cross-border collaboration opportunities.
We’ll keep you posted as plans are confirmed. Stay tuned—and mark your calendars for April 2026!
