Meet Manon Awst
Manon Awst is an artist and curator based in Caernarfon, Wales, who creates exhibitions, sculptures and site-specific artworks woven with ecological narratives. Her interest lies in the way materials stick to locations and communities, transforming them deep beneath the surface.
Her interdisciplinary approach is moulded by her academic studies in Architecture (Cambridge University) and Artistic Research (Royal College of Art).
She is a recent recipient of a Henry Moore Foundation Artist Award and has exhibited widely in the UK and Germany including at Cass Sculpture Foundation, National Museum Cardiff, Mostyn, Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Georg Kolbe Museum, Kunstverein Braunschweig and Sammlung Boros.
As part of IKT Congress 2023, we are going to visit Pontio Arts and Innovation Centre and see an immersive installation featuring Paul R Jones & Datamosh, curated by Manon Awst. Delegates will also get a chance to see Manon’s own artistic work while visiting HAUS artist studios in Llandudno.
