Open Call for group exhibitions

Calling all artists, curators, and creative minds! apexart is accepting exhibition proposals for its NYC Open Call from October 1-31, 2023. Five outstanding proposals will be selected to receive a generous exhibition budget of up to $10,000 each and will become integral parts of apexart's 2024-2025 exhibition season, showcased at the NYC space.

Eligibility Criteria

This opportunity is open to curators, artists, writers, and creative individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of their location or prior experience. Proposals should describe focused, idea-driven, original group exhibitions. No biographical information, CVs, links, or images will be accepted. Submissions cannot exceed 500 words and must be submitted in English. Jurors rate proposals based on their content and the organizer’s ability to communicate, rather than by familiar names or past accomplishments.

The five selected proposals will receive substantial exhibition budgets of up to $10,000, allowing curators to bring their visionary exhibitions to life. apexart will also produce and distribute professionally designed exhibition brochures to over six thousand recipients worldwide. As part of apexart's 2024-2025 exhibition season, your exhibition will enjoy widespread exposure and recognition.

Winning proposals will work closely with the apexart team to actualize their original ideas into compelling exhibitions. Curators are challenged to make the most of the allocated budget, pushing the boundaries of creativity to deliver exhibitions that leave a lasting impact on visitors.
