IKT Goes Digital

We’re excited to announce the launch of the IKT Digital Membership Card, part of a broader shift to modernise and streamline how we manage memberships.

We’re moving away from physical cards, stickers, and manual reminders—and embracing a fully digital system that offers ease, accessibility, and sustainability. To make this possible, we’ve partnered with Communal, a Canadian all-in-one platform designed specifically for associations like ours. This new system will help us better support member engagement and simplify the practical side of membership management.

What’s Changing?

Member Accounts
Every IKT member will have their own secure account. From here, you’ll be able to:

• Make membership payments

• Track payment history

• Access your Digital Membership Card

Digital Membership Cards
Your new card will be:

• Fully digital and available immediately after renewal

• Compatible with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet

• Also available as a printable PDF, if you prefer a physical copy

• Clearly displaying your name, membership number, and expiry date

• And importantly, a more environmentally friendly alternative

Automated Payment Reminders
Automated reminders will help ensure renewals are smooth and on time.

Rolling Renewals
We’re introducing an optional annual rolling renewal system. This means members can now choose to renew their membership annually, on a rolling basis. While multi-year payments will no longer be offered, this flexible approach allows for more frequent engagement and makes staying connected even easier.
