CCA Residency in Uzbekistan
CCA Artist Residencies in collaboration with Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation is announcing the open call for the Artist Residencies programme.
Applicants should submit a project proposal, outlining a specific research interest and intention for the residency.
This opportunity offers fully funded 8 weeks residencies at Artist Residencies, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Please see below for the details of the different residencies available:
Curators/researchers
Location - Khast Imom
Number of participants - 1 curator/researcher at a time
Duration – 8 weeks
Required documents: CV, motivation letter describing the project (curatorial project, academic publication, research-based work) and stating its major goals and results
Participation benefits:
Travel, visa, and accommodation expenses fully covered
Scholarship provided
Access to necessary materials (within an agreed limit)
Opportunity to participate in 1–2 public events (e.g., speeches, discussions, workshops) at the Artist Residencies during the program
Showcase of the final project at the end of the residency
Artists from Uzbekistan and abroad
Location - Namuna
Number of participants - 4 artists at a time
Duration – 8 weeks
Participation requirements: filled in Form, portfolio and a project proposal.
Participation benefits:
Fully covered travel, visa, and accommodation expenses
Scholarship provided
Access to necessary materials (within an agreed limit)
Opportunity to participate in 1–2 public events (e.g., speeches, discussions, workshops) at the Artist Residencies
Exhibition of the final work in the Artist Residencies space at the end of the stay in Tashkent
Application Procedure
Applications are accepted digitally only. Interested individuals can submit their documents by visiting the CCA Residency's official website.
Required documents:
A CV or portfolio in pdf format (2 MB max), including project documentation, images, links to video and audio files, reviews of work, texts, etc.
A sketch of a proposed project in pdf format (1 MB), as well as a short description of the concept, indicating the execution technique, the amount of work and the estimated implementation time. (If your files are bigger than 2mb add google drive link in your Application Form).
Completed application form submitted alongside the CV and project sketch.
Residency dates: Applicants may choose one of three available dates for their residency.
Application deadline: January 5th
Note: Due to the anticipated high volume of applications, only successful applicants will be notified by the CCA Residency team. Individual feedback cannot be provided to unsuccessful applicants.
