Art Encounters Biennial: My Rhino is Not a Myth

The Art Encounters Foundation is pleased to invite you to the opening weekend of the Art Encounters Biennial for contemporary art 2023, May 19–21, in Timișoara!

Entitled My Rhino is Not a Myth. art science fictions and curated by Adrian Notz together with a group of young curators, this year's edition will take place over eight weeks, from May 19 to July 16, 2023, bringing together artists from 21 countries, 13 of which with new works, specially designed for this event.
 
The weekend of the grand opening offers a highly intense and exciting program of guided tours with the invited artists and the curator of the Biennial, both in the premises of the Biennial and in those of the complementary platform—the artist-run spaces in Timișoara (Avantpost, Balamuc, Baraka, Lapsus, Nava C2, Simultan), a conference on the role of art in the current digital context, a personalized tram tour with one of the emblematic works of the Biennial, performances with two artists present in the Biennial, an outdoor picnic with the invited artists and curators, as well as an opening party in collaboration with Spontan Events.
