Meet Matthew Walker
Matthew Walker – Periclo Co director and Artist
Matthew Walker is a UAL Photography graduate. His previous work has included ethnographic studies into stand-up comedy, sex work and rave culture using photography as a primary medium. More recently he is investigating how neo-liberal and conservative ideology will unfold as working and middle class jobs become increasingly automated. Matthew is currently tying together his political body of work with his ethnographic study in rave culture. He is now working as a post-medium artist.
IKT delegates will meet Matthew when visiting artist studios in Wrexham during IKT Congress 2023.

PERICLO IS A PLATFORM FOR RISK AND EXPERIMENTATION IN CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ARTS.
Periclo presents a programme of exhibitions, talks, screenings and performances. The space also provides research facilities through its reading room, with a particular focus on the relationship between artist and curator.
The exhibition programme and associated events provide artists an opportunity to test new ideas, to take risks and to experiment with content, themes and with display methods.
